It is exciting to know that everything is going well and that Ceviche will open its doors in September. I have prepared some English language teaching materials based on the Evening Standard´s story ¨Hitch up that llama-Lima ´s come to London” and my students reaction has been of surprise and pride that Peruvian cuisine is making its mark in London.They also wish you all the best!! When I was living in England (I am peruvian) , I can clearly remember, that everytime my auntie prepared peruvian dishes, like “Aji de Gallina” or “Papa a la Huancaína” for guests invited for dinner at our house, everyone loved it, praising the taste and flavours of the peruvian cuisine, and of course, my auntie´s touch…
It will not take long before Ceviche becomes famous, very famous!! My best wishes for it!!!

I am from Peru, and have been living in London 8 years. All this time I didn’t want to go to a Peruvian restaurant here afraid of disappointment, sice i didnt have great commers and i am quite demanding when it comes to peruvian food! It is soooo good to know I won’t have to wait to go home to eat like at home!! Best of lucks, and I will be there the first day you open!!

Martin, many congratulations on the forthcoming opening of Ceviche! I am a Peruvian who has lived in England for 30 years and who has waited for as many years for this moment! I now have a large family and live in Oxford but you can be sure that this wont stop me from booking one of your first tables. You are clearly very passionate and determined but most of all much braver than all us Peruanos in the UK who always knew this would happen one fine day but didn’t have the guts to do it! We are all behind you in spirit and wish you all the luck and success in the world. I hope the rumours of a Pisco Bar at Ceviche are true. Soho will then be full of people dancing in the streets……..

Vivo fuera del Peru desde hace 21 anhos y los ultimos 10 resido aca en Londres. Desde ese tiempo he esperado en vano el arribo de un buen restaurant peruano y por fin mis plegarias han sido escuchadas. Espero ansioso la apertura de Ceviche, y asi poder invitar a todos mis amigos Ingleses y de todo el mundo para que aprecien nuestra comida.
Estare en el Opening y ojala que nos podamos conocer.

Hmm, this looks very interesting..
I worked in Peru for almost two years from 2000, met my wife and we live in the UK. Our family travel back to Lima normally once a year for around a month.
My favourite Peruvian dish just happens to be Ceviche.
When preparing Ceviche over here in the UK we have found it difficult to obtain the same taste as in Lima. Even the limes we buy in the supermarket here in the UK just don’t have the correct taste……
That said i can only hope you have nailed it!
Will you just be offering Ceviche de pescado? or perhaps thinly sliced Pulpo and perhaps Langostinos which have been sliced open a bit so they marinate better?
I also really like Jalea, so it would be great if that is on the menu. Hmm Ceviche and Jalea.
Leche de Tigre for starters along with Cancha, Ceviche and Pie de Limon for the finale
Papa a la Huancaína, Papa Rellena, all very yummy as well.
Don’t worry as i’m getting over excited, so i am expecting too much!!
